hi I was just curious how many of you are working on a specific game? If so what is it called, when will it be done, how much is done, and a little about it. I am working on a RTS game currently called Skirmishers. I am still working on the engine. I am hoping to have it done by the end of the year. My website is www.geocities.com/nathansoft
Well, I''m still learning directX so there''s no game in the works as of yet. But I plan to make a simple game, maybe a GOOD clone of that little yellow guy eating those dots (don''t want to annoy hasbro ) to see if I know directX. After that I plan to do something a little more challenging, but I don''t know what yet.

I can''t speak for us coders who program for a living, but we freelance bums usually have several little gems in the works. For example, I''ve got Urban Dark, a top-down 3D-ish game much like the movie Dark City (it kicks ass, rent it). I''ve also got my 3D shoot-the-bastards RPG space game, Vagrant, to think about, and I haven''t completely given up on Dementia, a 2D platform Lemmings-like game with one character and one screen, though that may be expanded.

Hey man, little yellow dude eating dots clones are awesome, and I think every experienced programmer should have at least one under their belt.

Of course, mine was in (don''t laugh) QBasic, but the AI was so damn good my older brother beat the living crap out of me because he couldn''t win. It was worth it to see him cry though.

I''m working on a game with a little yellow guy who eats cookies all day long while listening to really irritating music... It''ll _probably_ be finished in a couple of weeks, the code is ready, I just need to create 27 levels, make (or steal ) some MIDI music, record some sound effects and design a really cool logo for the game

I'm reminded of the day my daughter came in, looked over my shoulder at some Perl 4 code, and said, "What is that, swearing?" - Larry Wall
Well, I got my RPG lookin thing going, there is a demo at my site. My first game was really bad though, you were a blue square a had to move around in the trees (purpule trees) and get the "spots" (blue squares). Everything was squares because I had no idea how to do PCX.

Well, I''m working on a 3d shooter called PARADIGM. I''m the game designer of this project. Our programmers are still working on the engine which uses OpenGL.

You will find news about our game on our website:

Hey Terrakain, I was gonna do a game based on Dark City.
(Don''t worry I''m not now.)It''s an interesting film and could probably make a decent game. Are you gonna get the buildings moving so the city changes all the time?
Good luck with the project
I''m still learning DirectX (I got a direct sound thingy working this weekend, hooray!) and I''ve done a little Tetris game.

Personally, I think Hasbro''s little yellow guy eating pills is entirely to blame for the state of society today, see profile signature.

Hi here comes my idea -->> fasten seatbelts al :-D

I''m writting a game strongly based on Transport Tycoon ( a game by Chris Sawyer ). This way I want to learn myself working with a Isometric View engine, and the most important reason for me was/is learning to finally write using OOP (Object Orïenteded Programming) cause so far my programs were a real mess.

I also started a website, www.urbantransport.nl
It''s a dutch site, but don''t worry the language used is English :-)
