I am using the dx7sdk to create my latest game. i have created some complex meshes in 3dsmax3 and i used polytrans to convert them to .x file format. when i load it into the dolphin program to see an animation i get a lot of missing polygons on the mesh. i know it is a common problem but i dont get why the problem is that visible. is there any work around? how do i design the meshes(any rules i need to follow?)? also.. please let me know if there are any texture painting softwares other than 4dpaint. why do the missing polygons occur only when the mesh is transformed!! if you use conv3ds then use the -m parameter and this should solve your problem.

If you use a demo version of PolyTrans, every 5th polygon will be removed.
