2D sprites (shoot 'em up)
I''m aware that there already is a "spaceship sprites forum" just underneath, but couldn''t get any response from there. I suck at art, and need to find some decent animated spaceship (or similar) sprites for my game. I already have a couple of them, and they work well with my program, but the game could look much better with some cool sprites.
The sprites are for a school project, and the project is for private use only, so I would very much appreciate it if you could share any 32*32 or 64*64 sprites you already have, or could give me a link. I guess I may pay ~30 bucks out of my student budget for this thing also.
And last, I''m tired of copy pasting these animated sprites into a screen by hand (it''s tiresome for the eye), so does anybody know of a sprite liner program. (like the one in: http://www.idevgames.com/fileshow.php3?showid=277 but for windows 2000)
Thanks for any comments.
I can help you!! Just tell me what you want and I''ll make them for you because I''m board and whant somthing real to work on.
E-mail me at smelly_dot_com@hotmail.com and we''ll go from there. Oh, and one other thang, I''ll do it for free. I don''t think any one should have to pay for graphics.

Whats so funny? I''m not talking about any hi-tech art. He said it was for personal use. Why pay for somthing that dose not have to be extreamly hi-tech or top of the line. If your wanting osmthing thats just for personal use or for just making al ittle game and you can''t do the graphics you self. Why pay to much money for it when it doesn''t need to go that far? If your talking graphics like, StarCraft or Diablo or any other extreamly graphical interface, then I see paying a little would be fair. Besides, its a chance to show off art and make a name for your self. Like, look at what I do for free, if you pay me money I do better sort of thang.

imho, the use of your own sprite liner program is always good. much more fun.

I'm working on a really cool game right now that has alot of combat spaceship battles. I need about ten good guy ships and about 10 bad guy ships. And maybe some like power-ups and stuff. Oh yeah and some backdrop decals would be cool. Can you help me? Thanx!
I sure hope this world isn't one big joke, because I don't get it.

I''d really appreciate any spaceship sprites. The format I''d prefer would be either 32*32 (or 48*48 or 64*64 - actually I''m not so sure, I suck at art, there''ll be around 15 ships on the screen at any instant). Other than that, 3-5 animation frames would be great. And would you please send each sprite (if you decide to) in seperate files? (like alienship01.bmp, alienship02.bmp, ufo01.bmp, ufo02.bmp, etc..)
Since adding sprites into my project after writing the code is no problem, any combat spaceship images would make it look better.
Thanks.
