I thought it was interesting, so I''m sharing it. I think it''s pretty cool, but you can be the judge of that.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other player's eyes with his King.
Lots of hype and a little bit of technology goes a long way! Look at the hype that surrounded CA''s "Neugents" a few years ago. Heck, my brother works for CA here in Australia and was previously only 1 of 10 specialist tech sales people in the coutnry who worked on the Neugents product. One Christmas he starts spouting all this stuff about Neugents and what they can do, that he was taught in a training seminar... so I had to sit him down and give him a lesson in AI and what Neugents really were! He was somewhat deflated afterwards, but more knowledgeable in ANNs... which turned out to be a blessing for him when they cut 6 of the 10 people... and he kept his job because he understood the product better!
Anyway, the point is... don''t believe all of the hype... it''s designed to sell a product and to convince the uninitiated that it''s the "Best Thing Ever" in its field!
Cheers,
Timkin

The website has changed since I first saw it a couple of years ago though and he seems to have ''removed'' a lot of the detail. Now it just appears to be one big ad whereas before there were a couple of interesting articles.
I ain''t never heard of ''neugents! What were/are they?

Neugents = "Neural Agents"
Basically, neural networks for classification and prediction. Absolutely nothing special as far as I could tell from talking to my brother and looking at some of their literature.
