There are text files of the Win 3 version here: http://the.wall.riscom.net/books/win/petzbook/

The Win 3 version is still somewhat applicable - but not enough to learn from.

There's some interesting things here:
http://peter.eluks.com/stats/usage_200201.php
- but the Petzold link is dead

And some interesting things here too:
http://din.bul.to/helps/helps.html
- there's a link here, I haven't tested it

There's also a ton of stuff here:
http://maththinking.com/boat/languageBooksIndex.html
(but a lot of it looks like junk to me)

I already have a copy of the 32 bit version in html, I wanted to see if the maxcode version was pdf or chm

// EDIT:
There's a chm version here:
http://peter.eluks.com/books/Win32%20Programming/Programming%20Windows/

There are also other interesting books further up the directory hierarchy.

You could always go to www.winprog.org

I''ve already been to winprog and have read all of it. I want more in-depth information.

Read some of Jeffrey Richter''s books, they are pretty advanced and contain wealth of information. Or, get an idea for a program and use SDK docs and KB to look up stuff you need to write it. For example, try writing your own Notepad, MDI Notepad, Explorer, simple RTF editor like Write, Calculator, or a clone of any program you can find in your start menu.
