Need good Math sites (for beginner)

Hello. First of all I''m not old (if I would tell you my age, half of this thread would be about it ) so the sites you give, should be quite easy to understand (if it is even possible). I have done some very simple 2d-games, and I know trigonometry (spelling ?), but I''m slowly getting interested about 3d-stuff. Without going further, I decided that I need some knowledge about ''3d-math''. I would like to learn about matrices and vertexes. I would also like to know what other things (math, physics, anything) I should know before going too deep in the wonderful world of 3d. Thanks.
My favorite math resource on the net:

Thanks for the link !
That site seems to have lots of information...

Now I have a new problem: what should I learn first ? :O
I found this site to be pretty good. My wife is a math professor at a couple of local colleges and she recommends it to students in exactly your position.
go here
as for what to do first, check out anything about vectors and matrix math. And take calculus the first chance you get, even if most of it isnt really that useful for 3d, it does improve your overall problem solving abilities. Good luck

edit:
of course, the website I gave you doesn't even have vectors/matrixes. DOH!?

Here''s very good stuff about 3D mathematics (including vectors & matrices) http://www.3dica.org/

it''s in Finnish too! :D

Ahh, that looks very nice.
And in Finnish too ! Cool !

Thanks to you all for these great links !
They should keep me busy for some time
hmm, What Math classes have you actually taken? Algebra will teach you most that you need to know for 3D math.

So, what do you want to learn, and what do you know??

Well, not so long ago I had the same problem (I''m 16 yrs old). I wanted to do collision detection (in 3D), but like you I didn''t had alot of knowledge in 3D math. So here''s what I''ve found for 3D collision detection (because you''ll probably need it): http://www.peroxide.dk/download/tutorials/tut10/pxdtut10.html . Here, you have a good tutorial to understand sphere-to-triangle collision detection. There''s a book that also helped me with: Game programming Gems2. There was a good article on vectors and planes. And if you need help feel free to ask: dagenais.f@videotron.ca ICQ#:34891631

Thanks for the link.
I''m 15 years old, so I can not actually choose yet what courses I want to take (in Finland that is)...
