For a school project me and my friends are programming an opengl game sort of like zelda for n64. The story is based on an old super nintendo game called Earthbound. Need suggustions -> what do you guys want to see in a game? What would be cool? I asked the Earthbound community and got squat. I got to put something in my requirements document, so what ya got? I have always loved the Earthbound series. If you can faithfully reproduce the fun factor of the game, with a new story and even improve upon the graphics, thats something that would be very interesting and I am sure it would be a great game. I think, since you are going to redo all the graphics anyway, Are you going to make the game 3D? I don''t know, I am really tired. =) I have no real ideas, but sounds like fun

That depends on how much experience your team has, and how long you''ve got to do the project.

Also, *never* think about the special effects first, they are nowhere near as important as getting the main systems running. If you do think of a special effect (= something that would be nice, but won''t affect the gameplay), then write it down, and only implement it later if you know it won''t interfere with the game.

Unfortunately, I can''t be very helpful, because I never played Earthbound. Sorry about that.
