. . . I would bet dollars to donuts that most of the programmers on this site can''t draw to save their lives!

Yup My girlfriend makes fun of the mountain tiles I have in my game because they look like .. err ... mushroom caps

My two cents are this:
Look into whatever field you want to go into first - try to learn some basic things about it. See if it really fascinates you. And then decide if you want to go into it. It may be that game design/game art/game programming are not what you envision now, though what you discover may be even more up your alley than whatever your preconcieved notions are.

Honestly, I''m considering a dual major or switching to History in school now, as I want to further more of my passions than just the programming, which lord knows I''ll continue doing regardless of what ever else I''m doing!

Good luck to you whatever you decide.

You may try looking into Full Sail. It is a fairly new school in Florida. I used to live about 30min from there. They have a really nice campus and is souly for techies. They have many different degree programs. One that you would be interested in is "Game Design" Check it out: FullSail.com

also, florida is a hell of alot better to live in than California and plus EA is based there...

[ They said I needed windows 95 or better so I chose linux! ]
