As my first post I would just like to say "hi" to the Nehe community, and of course pay my tributes to NeHe himself, whom have opened my eyes for OpenGL (and programming in general). Im looking forward to see the contest-entrys and I believe I will learn alot from them.
I will also make a contribution myself.
Just to not make this a spam-only thread, Ill post a question aswell. How long have you guys come with your demos and how long will they be (In play-time that is)?

Well I am still debating whether to or not to. The demo of LOTR seems appealing to me. If I can manage to get the effects nearly as good as LOTR I will be extremely pleased. Even otherwise If I get even 10% close I will be highly satisfied by my code. Another couple of days might help me decide whether to enter or not.
Hello from my world

(Sorry, couldn''t resist.) At the moment it is approx. 6 and 2/3 minutes but it could get about 5 minutes longer.

a) Hi!
b) hmm.. about 3 minutes of "completed code" and about 5 of stuff in works and stuff only in ideas
There are more worlds than the one that you hold in your hand...

You should never let your fears become the boundaries of your dreams.

Yeah right.. if you manage to bore me with realtime 3d-rendered stuff, your doing a great job.

The absolute hardest thing in my oppinion is to get some good music''s, if one chooses to have that in the demo. I mean, I dont have any talents whatsoever in writing music, and getting someone elses would most likely violate the copyright.
But then again I''ve just started on some fx, so I shouldn bother till later.
