My win98 system runs on 1152 x 864 x 24 bpp

640 x 480 x 16 fails
640 x 480 x 24 works
1024 x 768 x 24 works
1024 x 768 x 16 fails

NOW : My win98 system runs on 1152 x 864 x 16 bpp

640 x 480 x 16 works
640 x 480 x 24 works
1024 x 768 x 24 works
1024 x 768 x 16 works

strange but at least I now have found video modes, so I can play :-)

Any suggestions why I depends on the win display settings wheather the prog. runs or not ?
( I have a AMD K6_II_3dNow 400Mhz, 64 MB RAM and a Tekram P5 ... Board )

Yes: crappy video drivers. Unfortunately, there''s nothing more to say about it. You can''t really do something about it either, other than buying a new video card.
