Looking for resources
Hi all. I''m new to the game development arena and I have bought quite a few books on developing 3D games.
I also have Poser - for character creation
and 3DStudio Max for everything else.
My problem that I''m finding is all the books on 3D games using DirectX talk about reading in X files and they also talk about (basically breeze over) that they have created their chracters and landscapes in 3DS Max (or whatever) and I also have books on Poser and 3Ds Max.. but I can''t find anywhere how to get the Poser/3DS Max files to X files with the JPG files.
Is there books or references that talks specifically about creating environments/characters for games and shows how the images are taken down to the level that Direct3D uses-- X files.
Thanks for any info if you can provide any.
