still can't beat pen and paper

Sitting in my car in a quiet parking lot with a pad of paper and a couple pens and pencils and possibly a few books and printed articles. The parking lot provides a non distracting environment.
I think I''ll try a park bench this spring

Index cards!!
I have a very large wad of paper in a plastic file, with the word SPFORGE scrawled across the front.
I''ve somehow managed to contain all the ideas I have in that wad. If you''re like me, then you never have a complete idea at once, you have lots of little ones spread out (they inspire each other, but are not always linked).
What I do is keep everything in one place and when I work on projects for SPForge (or indeed, on my own) I just open up the file and and go through all the little bits and pieces that sit around in there, and I add them to what''s cooking.
I also use index cards, each card has a page number and a two or three word description of the idea on that page (in my wad). So when I work on a project I just keep the relevant index cards in its file for when I need to reference back to the wad for more accurate descriptions of my ideas.

mmmm, i use a "brain notepad". I am the guy that dislike to spend time thinking to something.. i have a idea then programmer the idea =).
Also, i dislike to carry things, usually i only have some money in my pockets.. a notepad can be more a bother that a help.
I have a notebook but only use for drawing art, not ideas.

I do everything on paper if I can. I even code on paper. I don''t type it until it is time to debug...I could do that on paper too, but I get lazy about then.

If I am near a computer I would much rather Type it, because well, i Type MUCH MUCH faster than I can Write, But if i need to draw anything i like pen and paper, and if i am away from the computer or my cpmputer isn''t on i will use pen and paper... though one thing i hate is pencil.
Anybody seen A Beautiful Mind? Yeah...that''s my kinda organization.

I hate normal pencils, but push pencils always stay sharp enough. I''ve gotten into the habit of slightly rotating the pencil every single time I lift it from the paper to stop and think or end a sentence or something. It''s truly become an unconscious action and keeps the lead sharp by using various sides so that one doesn''t go flat.

I use notepad to get the game ideas down and pen and paper plus my scanner for any diagrams or pictures I jot down.
