Hrm, I''m still having problems. But I think I know why, now. To make a long story short, I''m on a dual-booting system, and I decided to have the windows drive be one of the "drives" that WINE has access too... I think that''s screwing it up, so I''m gonna take that option off and give it a new C:\Windows (or wtf it is) drive.

WineX (yay!): Is it stable?
Ok, I''ve changed things around a bit, and I am now able to play Half-Life (though with a rather low FPS rate). Starcraft installed, but it won''t start, and Tiberian Sun just wouldn''t install. Haven''t given anything else a try yet though.

DeusEx really doesn''t want to install. Soldier of Fortune installs and runs fine until it tries to find the CD-ROM (when you try to start a new game), then it fails horribly. It''s probably one of those anti-piracy techniques that was a little too Windows-centric (I tried both the boxed version of the game and the one that came with my video card, I didn''t expect any difference, and didn''t get any ). The WineX forums gave me the idea that you can find an executable online that wouldn''t look for the CD-ROM. I''m not going to bother trying since I''ve already played the game though. I''ll probably try a couple more games in the future.
Tried the CVS and it compiled and installed fine. Just get a fixme: CD_ROM error when I run it. Any ideas?
