no violence
I think these days there is too many games with violence in them, and I am bored to find only slaughter games on shop shelfs. Can any one name games that can be played with out having to fight in some way against something? (and I am not talking of simulators and rally games) I believe good games can be made without violence.
Also, I would like to know how many are bored with violence in games? I like to play Half Life but not because of the violence in it, I love the feeling when you dont know what is behind the next corner. The Half Life engine could be used to create a game about The Saint or someone else who does not like to kill and tries to find more advanced way of handling things.
if someone is intrested in making this kind of games write to me and I will tell more about my ideas, but I dont know s* about making games... yet...

Christians come out with violent games too. An excellent non-violent game series by Christians and widely recognized is Myst. Good for hours and hours of fun.
I am a christian and plan to have a dev company in the future right now i''m working with multiple dev team and all the games I''m working on have violence, however they are not Christian based games.

You said "I love the feeling when you dont know what is behind the next corner."
But ask yourself why do you have this feeling?
Don''t you think that it''s because you risk your "life" in that game?
To be honest, more of the non-violent games bores me. (except Puzzle Bubble)
In fact my favorite type of game is Street fighter like and Quake like...

KEEP LOADED!!!
On the front page of this forum (where you started this new topic) is an existing topic about violence in games. In that thread is a reference to a recently concluded debate on violence in games. Do you not bother to look around before posting?
All that will end up happening here is that a) you will get flamed for not adding to the discourse; b) you will break up the continuum of discussion, which doesn''t help anybody; or c) this thread will be closed.
If you don''t want violence in games, make non-violent games. Violence obviously sells, and making games is still a business, so that''s not about to change any time soon. Can we drop the "cherubic naivete" and have some real discussion around here?

Thanks to Kylotan for the idea!
