Ok, I apologize. My mistake. I thought you were talking to me, and when someone accuses me of something that I did not do, I usually get defensive. Once again, I''m sorry.

In fact, I haven''t run Linux in... about a year (and I''m the moderator!)

Somehow, that just doesn''t make sense... But I won''t get started on that

See I got cookies because I''m the smartest.

It''s because I''m a Windows user. (JUST KIDDING)

Anyway, yeah, like I said: as a Windows user, I wasn''t offended.

And you thought that he was inciting an argument ? You''re lucky I knew what you meant .

Yes, but in context it buttresses my point of "bipartisanship", if that''s what we want to call it.

CmndrM: Let''s keep that between ourselves, eh? :D

Thanks to Kylotan for the idea!
I said I wouldn''t get started on that...

Besides, I think you''ve been doing a great job of moderating (the new FAQ was very good, in my opinion)... I''m just surprised to hear that our *nix moderator doesn''t even run *nix.

I would like to thank everyone. Reading that was the most entertaining thing I''ve done all day. Reeks of Abbot and Costello. Keep up the good work

Thank you.

He used to. He uses it regularly at his university (Solaris). He just doesn''t have a spare computer to devote to Linux at the moment, and he refuses to ever dual-boot again (last time I tried was with Win98SE and Mandrake, and 98 crashed all the time which caused me to forever ban 9x kernels from my computing realm).

Btw, I just noticed some SGI (O2) workstations in one of our labs. I don''t know if they run *nix or NT as yet.

Well, that makes a world of difference. I thought by you saying you hadn''t used Linux in about a year, you meant you hadn''t used *nix in about a year... It was kinda hard to tell that from your post. My mistake! (again )

And once again, I apologize
