I am using an standart windows font (arial) an i''d like too use some German letters (like ä,ö,ü) but they won''t display! The ANSI_CHARSET on my pc must contain this letters, i gues... or do i have to use a different value for the base??

If you''re using a technique such as NeHe described in tutorial #13, you''ll need more than 96 characters.
The 96 characters get the numbers, the letters from ''a'' to ''z'' (upper and lower case, but NO acute or graves) and some symbols like punctutation and brackets.

Try using 128 more characters in the set. (96+128=224 characters : replace all the 96 occurences by 224). Might work. It''s not very portable though, since it''ll work on your (german) computer exclusively.

I can use this thing in portuguese too???

I think so...
I tried lesson14 which includes 255 characters (instead of 96) and I can write *my* French characters.
So, why wouldn''t it work with Portuguese characters ?

I tried with lesson13... and it works !
Just replace every number 96 by 224 and it will do the thing.
