I''m pretty new to OpenGL programming and have a problem: When I had my Voodoo 2 card in my machine I got hardware accelerated OpenGL with Ryan Haksi method of dynamicaly loading the HW/SW OpenGL / 3Dfx supported drivers. But now since I bought my Creative TNT-2 Ultra 32 MB card my test app dropped from 40 fps to 5-6 fps (well it aint optimized and it sux but whatever), which to me indicates that it is software rendered (since on my other computer with a regular S3 xxx card it goes on the same fps. I have the latest drivers from nVidia (not Creative''s) and I have installed "glsetup.exe". Anyone have any ideas what to do to get HW OpenGL or know where to find more information since I can''t find it myself on the net, regards Errand PS. Yes yes yes it''s a newbie Q and yes I don''t have to get source for it I just need help to find the info DS. The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work.

It is not a programming problem, it is just a driver problem.

well i do have your answer. NEVER USE GLSETUP.exe. i have tried it and it dumped me into software mode on my tnt. just install NVidia drivers and you will get a fully working OpenGL driver. also, if you have two monitors, make sure the second one is turned off via the desktop properties, or you will also get suck in software mode.

Have you tried putting the opengl32.dll in the same folder? That speeds up things with a voodoo 3000.

I have problem getting acceleration with my voodoo2 card in OpenGL. I thoght it was impossible. Can you help me?

Cleared my system, only installed nVidias drivers, disabled 2nd monitor and still has the problem....

Well seems like I''m of to my own to solve this irritating problem.
