I''m using Midas audio system for sounds & music, but I believe this problem is in directSound also.
This "100 ms or even more"-buffer in sound output is really annoying. I have a weapon in my game that shoots very rapidly (60 times/second). And because of this soundbuffer the shooting sound is only played 10 times per second.
I''m not that concerned about the 100 ms delay but I am concerned about the sound being not as rapid as it should be (10 times/sec vs 60 times/sec). How to make rapid sounds? With loops?
