Are you an aspiring game developer? If so, which game dev specialty are you pursuing, and what method are you using to pursue that game dev specialty? Or are you just a fanboy? Inquiring game devs want to know.

Everybody knows what “unique and useful” means!

Sure, but what I see as “unique and useful” is not what you see as “unique and useful”, and is not what a third persons sees a s “unique and useful”, and is not what a fourth person sees as “unique and useful”, and is not ….

A computer needs to know everything up-front, so how are you going to implement an infinite number of unique and useful items?

The other option is to make a finite selection of such items, but then some people will be disappointed.

$100 reward, when you have a million dollars = not unique or useful!

Rocket Launcher reward, in a game where it can be found nowhere else = unique and usefull!

…..Yeah, maybe there is some guy would rather just use the AK thought the hole game who has no use for th Rockey launcher. What's your point?????

@black_berry , you seem to enjoy arguing. That's often the sign of a troll. You have been avoiding my question - Are you an aspiring game developer? If not, then you definitely are a troll, and we don't need you here arguing with the perfectly good responses you've been getting from @alberth and @joej . If you want to continue enjoying your membership here, you should answer the questions I asked you. For your convenience, I repeat them here:

  1. Are you an aspiring game developer? If so,

2. which game dev specialty are you pursuing, and

3. what method are you using to pursue that game dev specialty as a career?

That's three questions looking for an answer, if you'd like to show us that you are not a troll wasting our time. There are other places on the web where you can argue your GTA opinions. Reddit or game fan forums might be better places for you to put forth your arguments.

I have no plans on working in the industry no, but I enjoy thinking and discussing good/poor game design!

Now you answer my question (the topic of the thread)

Is GTA a better concept than this? if so how so?

“Rockstar's games would suffer from more open mission designs”

And “BlackBerry's statement ”rewards need to be usefull" is meaningless"

Are not perfectly fine arguments, they're something that every real gamer would burst out laughing at!

“I want open world games that force me to stay on the yellow line! and which reward me with useless crap!”

……The only people who would ever utter such garbage are not real gamers or game designers, they're total losers/liars who only care about twerking!

Then you should go elsewhere with your trolling behavior, please.
