I have a Lexmark Z33 printer and Mandrake 8.1. The printer is not working. Mandrake detects it, and I have configured it with the right make and model, but it does not print, print jobs are not sent to the queue, and the printer status says that the printer is not ready. I have downloaded the driver from Lexmark''s website, but I don''t know how to make the printer actually use it. Some help would be appreciated.

Except for the Optra series of printers, Lexmark has very poor support under Linux. In fact, I didn''t even know that they had ANY official support. Try LinuxPrinting.org for an answer to your question.
