What is the best way to outline your design doc? I have alot of information but not sure what order to put it in. Should I put the basic gameplay and structure then go into specifics like the diffrent chracter races, classes, etc. (it is an RPG)? What is the best way to organize it? I think the best way to do it is to start of with general topics/points and after that go into the details. Making a readable design doc is an art.

Sometopics: Gameflow, What Genre is similar to it, whats the goal of the game, ... blah

While I may not have the best answer, generally this is one of the best outlines to start with. Now depending on your genre, each Design Document will be a little different and requires some tweaking. Anyway, heres one that I always go back to.
