Aw man, just found out about this.
Too bad there is only a few hours left - haha!
Will have to keep my eye out for the next challenge (this going to be November?)

Well, here goes my entry. It's a bit more than initially planned but also not really complete. There are nice 10 stages plus a boss fight though. It's a clear Bubble Bobble type game. Birdie had a game like that already, and he beat the evil pumpkin lord once. The pumpkin boss is back and Birdie's had it! This time he pulls out the guns!
If you don't know the game type: Blow notes to catch enemies in bubbles. Jump at bubbles to pop them and defeat the nasties. You can also ride rising notes to reach higher parts of a stage.
Game source is included, albeit no code base files. Should be enough to peek at a few ideas though.
Music is done by Kevin McLeod (incompetech.com) -> Be sure to take a look there if you need great royalty free music!

@slicer4ever I can't find the executable. Sorry, not gonna build from source. Missing D3DCOMPILER_47.dll error.
@Endurion Birdie runs. I finally figured out how to set keys in options but the move right action just cycled through the levels all the way to the 'you win' screen.
Dev careful. Pixel on board.

You literally spent 0 time looking for it, so i'm not sure why you bothered mentioning me at all then.

(note the TriColorWars_x86.exe and _x64.exe).
Ah, I see it now. Is that an installer? Need to pass if it is. Whoops, malfunction over here starting apps from the download folder and not paying attention to what the dialog is on about and simply dismissing. Sorry.

why do you even bother commenting then if your not going to give any useful information?

I'm a genius
Let me guess, you used WASD? I've hard wired D as level complete, sorry!
I'll see to up a fixed version!

The graphics on Birdie is cool. Perhaps some instructions for the options page might help. I'm guilty of this as well assuming everyone does things the same as I on how a menu interface should work.
