Have you heard about the new $300.00 USD 3D printer coming this Fall from Mattel? cnet.com/products/mattel-thingmaker/

What would you print?

If I print a Lamborghini aventador, would it drive like one???

Aaawww... what a let down, its for kids, it can't make my Lamborghini sad.png

But ultimately, none of those caveats matter for a product like this. This is for kids who are burgeoning "makers," looking to experiment with fun DIY projects and maybe learn a thing or two about 3D design along the way.

can't help being grumpy...

Just need to let some steam out, so my head doesn't explode...

Easy enough:

"Hey kids! Come learn about 3D design and manufacturing by building me a Lamborghini."

Probably a harder part is finding 3D printer filament for high-torque applications.
The video clearly says it is targeted towards adults.
I would make some tools to assist me in my LEGO® building.
Then some robots to hit buttons on my controllers to play games for me, to be used with AI I would also write.

Now, if it can make a lego brick with the proper tolerances, then it's good. I've heard these things are extremely hard to duplicate with a cheap 3d printer...

I think we found all three steps!

Step one: use 3D printer to print parts, such as rods with a tolerance of handling over 520 metric horsepower @ 7800rpm

Step two: Get children to use it to print out and build 3D-printed Lamborghinis

Step three: Profit!
