She begins soon.

The previous one was over 30 years ago and the next will not be until 2033, so be sure to catch this rare event in about an hour (begins much sooner than that so start watching now).

Saw it 'bout an hour ago. Looked nice. While I missed the eclipse process, I also saw it when it was almost fully eclipsed, which made it contrast against the dark sky in an interesting way - like a 2D billboard of a 3D object against a flat 2D surface. Hard for me to describe.

Good stuff! This is the first total lunar eclipse I've had clear skies for in what feels like forever.

I resisted making jokes to them about all the Eclipse watching done at work...

I went out several times, but at totality the moon was always behind some clouds. By the time the clouds cleared, the moon was in crescent.

100% cloud cover + rain

Only some small clouds so i did get to enjoy the evil moon. It was nice. Next up 2033. Unless we are all hiding in the Metro tunnels by then.

I wasn't able to see the blood moon, unfortunately. I've heard it has some great significance for many people astrologically, astronomically, and religiously. Weren't there some people predicting that this is the end of the world sign (not that there's anything new about people predicting this).
