I want to play my n64 on my hd tv but my av source is broken

it has pins on the board for the red yellow and white analogue input. You'd have to do some wiring and a bit of soldering perhaps :)

I should go to a technical community college to learn that but now I can't do that

Your link you last gave was for the wrong direction (takes digital coaxial as input--the side of your N64--and puts it out as composite/RCA).

As a cool aside, the SNES, N64, and GameCube can all use the same composite cable. They have the same port.
