I'll bet it didn't take much time to clean though, given there's not much area to clean :-)

And not much area to temporary relocate objects that are in the way of a little more thorough cleaning.

I'll just leave this here: http://www.ecocapsule.sk/

Adeguate for short-term accomodation but I honestly cannot see it being sustainable.

Previously "Krohm"

I'm a single person and I live inside a 620 square foot low cost flat. Its okay. As someone mentioned, it really a place to take a bath and sleep, and wash clothes. after a hard day work, you just rest in front of tv watching documentaries. or playing computer game at computer table. as a single person, its more cost effective for me to eat outside. besides, after arriving home from work, too tired to prepare all kind of stuff.

i used to rent a small room. and also used to live in a dormitory provided by employer. i'll manage. previously i spent most of my time at the library on day off. at bookshop, at cinema.

these day i also doing hiking as a hobby.

in the future, if i got lucky and win a us green card lottery, i plan to travel all over US and live inside this full time:

http://www.tigervehicles.com/

And there are people living full time in a class B van motorhome.

But is manageable for me because I'm single (let just say I'm unlucky in love and now I'm 36 already).

thanks for that ecocapsule link.

cool idea, but no go for me, no toilet or bathroom. it is interesting to know that it can generate around 750 W from wind...

i also would like to add: there are people living in travel trailer (5th wheel). and some inside truck camper (also another option for me before knowing about Tiger Vehicle, as I need truck chasis because i love to hike mountains).

--edit--

Nanook, cool home.

I despite urban life, I despise neighbors, I despise proximity, and I really enjoy amplifiers of various types that produce very high sound levels. Micro apartments are a remarkable curiosity, but they're for idiots who think living in <X> city is worth sacrificing quality of life over.

Rather short-sighted. For many, having the culture and cuisine of the world at your fingertips IS quality of life, just as for you peace and quiet is.

It has a bathroom, with toilet and shower.

Thanks! So there is where it is hidden, didn't notice it in the panorama view.

Not really a fan of those pods. Portability wise they're beaten by a flat-pack design, which for similar transport costs could provide far more shelter units (What is needed for humanitarian aid missions) or a larger living/work space, or more easily moved in smaller pieces (what would be desirable for research stations). Also not a fan of the solar array arrangement.

I think this is one of those "stylish and expensive" products, like some of the dress on fashion show.

container turned living space does exist (or the other way around, living space, container-compatible). and so is fifth wheel.

regarding the solar, i think i understand their logic. sun rise, on top, and set. they need to maximize each position. there were research done on this (not the pod) and there is a reason why leaf on trees are the way they are.
