Hey. Why do you post your ideas? Are you showing off kids? Anyone steal them and use as their own. In gamedesign - idea is everything.
Ofcourse, there are no good ideas to steal here. Maybe you understand how pathetic they are and post them without any fear... But why to shame yourself by showing how bad your ideas are?
POSTING IDEAS (Free Tip)
-- Tom Sloper -- sloperama.com
Just chiming in quickly in case anyone stumbles across this from search, I'm a firm believer that the original poster's "idea is everything" philosophy is completely wrong, and that sharing ideas can be incredibly beneficial. I have some links to resources (written by successful industry veterans) to support this:
Tom Sloper's FAQ#1 discusses turning ideas into games, also covering the fact that the idea itself has essentially no value.
In his article on "stupid wannabe tricks" (i.e. foolish things beginners sometimes do) Tom covers "stupid paranoia", briefly touching on trying to keep your ideas secret.
Daniel Cook has an absolutely fantastic article entitled "why you should share your game designs" which I think should be required reading for anyone who doubts the benefits of sharing.
The creators of Indie-Fund shared a quick post explaining why they don't sign NDAs, which also touches on these issues.
I don't think there was ever any huge risk of anyone taking Krios seriously, but just in case anyone is finding themselves agreeing with him I would strongly urge you to read through the links above and reconsider. An idea is not everything, and sharing them is beneficial. I also think some very good ideas (and feedback) are often shared here.
