So, I recently posted about the Brackets Code Editor. And this caused me to dig deeper into this "using web technologies to build native apps" thing. Dug deeper, and now I have node-WebKit on my Mac, and have ported three html projects to desktop apps (I haven't made then run on all systems yet).
All I can say is that I am on to something. I just thought to use Tumult Hype for animations and even the html and Css.
I am completely new to Node.js, and all of this, but I can see the massive potential here.
From games to productivity apps and from Desktop to Mobile. From Local to web. From client side to server side! Any programming language you want!
Is anyone using node.js, or node-WebKit to do anything game relates. I am interested in getting all the info I can on this.
I have a vector drawing app ported already. Next I'm going to see if I can get a whole javascript game engine to work natively.
Any examples?
Node-WebKit + Tumult Hype = Easy!
