Have they something up their sleeves or just a marketing ploy? http://edition.cnn.com/2014/10/17/tech/innovation/magic-leap/index.html
Looks to me that is it marketing hype. I'm sure the technology they have is good, but I don't think it will live up to the pipe dream they are marketing. Expecially since they aren't showing any tech at this point.

Looks like marketing.

Don't let the comments about Google sway you too much. When investors come in with that kind of money the writing is already on the wall.

Google has a great reason to invest the money: A huge number of ownership shares means other excited people pay for R&D.

If the product takes off, wonderful, they get a lot of money AND they get ownership shares so they can grant themselves access to the tech. If the product fails, wonderful, they can buy the remaining parts of the company for Glass and prevent other companies from having it.

The article has a lot of words, and no real substance ... sounds like advertising.

Two things I "gleaned" from reading this ...

1: - The company is working on 3D holograms

2: - The author does not realize that Google Glass is already released to the public.

:Edit:

Only known video "demo" released to the public ...

Sounds like the same tune that played before Google Glass and the Leap Motion...we all know the dance that followed.
