The Week of awesome II - The judge Thread!

Small update to my INSTALLATION_GUIDE.txt. Apparently XNA requires media player installed to play songs. Something I discovered when it crashed at startup on a judge's computer. It's an odd feeling watching an entire week's worth of blood sweat and tears be shattered in an instant. "odd" meaning terrifying dismay... We got it working temporarily by turning of the music in the config files. But after he got Media Player installed, it worked like a champ. WHEW!!!!

Adding the following under the section of prerequisites.

Windows Media Player - Comes with Windows, but you may have uninstalled it.
Look in the left column for your operating system.
Look in the right column for the download page

I also uploaded the file if you find that easier.

EckTech Games - Games and Unity Assets I'm working on
Still Flying - My GameDev journal
The Shilwulf Dynasty - Campaign notes for my Rogue Trader RPG

Slicer, would you be willing to upload a version of the game archive in the form of a collection of smaller archives (say, four or five archives of a hundred or so megabytes each, rather than a single archive of over five hundred megabytes)? I'm having a terrible time attempting to download it, as the download seems to break at some point each time. :/

Thank you!

Edit: need directx installed to play ReColorMe. You can make the jump on the last level. Practice makes perfect.

I am asking this here incase anyone else has a similar issue:

What are the controls as I could not find a readme or anything?

Appears to be an error in this link, but the link the other thread works (last link of the journal-links) in case others can't download it either.

I totally resent that! You forgot the most prized "Prologue" thread :P

Just spotted you have the wrong game link for me (see my final journal entry link). Could you correct that please? The link should be: http://gilldave.co.uk/WoA2/Save%20My%20Toys.zip

Great game! Is there a pause button, or is it part of the game to be fast enough to set everything up before the toys die?

Had a crash though after playing a while, attaching the .log. And the trick in the ReadMe for level skipping doesn't seem to work so I have to replay all the levels if I wanna try again smile.png

I can do this, but it'll be a little bit, i'm going to get the large dump back up first, then i'll split it into 4 smaller dumps with 8 games in each one.

I tried to only take the journal entry's that were actually written during the competition=-P
Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.

Like most other contestants, I have low expectations to actually win. Does this mean I stand a chance?tongue.png

By the way, the link for my web version links to the windows version. The link is supposed to be this: https://8ebedac828996867f58ec67fbff67f5b4909c8ad.googledrive.com/host/0B3vKFgZoCungbkN1R2oyS1ZTOE0/LittleJimmy.html

Good luck, everyone... but not too much luckph34r.png

Thanks!

The level skip is the N key. I have uploaded a corrected read-me to this thread earlier today but it isn't in the build (yet).

There is no pause, that's part of the challenge to either race against the toys or do something to hold them off.

I guess there's nothing I can do about crashes now, weird though as I didn't experience a single crash during development.
