Hi everyone !

I finally take my first screenshot of my game.. You can see it on my blog here: http://sjs-studio.com/en/blog/2014/09/26/jours-3-4/.

Here's a first WIP version to test out. The first level is no challenge, just click go (or press N to skip to the next stage).

There's a few simple stages and then nothing.

Let me know if you find some bugs/crashes!

I like it, it's good fun!

Some possible bugs (or just a lack of knowhow on my part)...

  • I had an issue where I had placed all my blocks incorrectly but couldn't figure out how to reset the level so I had to exit and come back in.
  • Related to the above, I reclaimed some of my blocks by left-clicking (or at least that's what it appeared) but I couldn't re-plant them. Even though I had a +ve number of tiles in my inventory. There was simply no tile appearing under my cursor.
  • I wasn't able to get past the level that introduces water, not without something like a leftwardly angled staircase - is there a way to rotate tiles? Or was I just not imaginative enough to come up with a solution using only 2 rightwardly angled staircases?

- I like the title screen (parallax effect)

- what's the thin line attached to the cursor in the first level. I can't seem to do anything with it?

- When the game doesn't have focus it keeps updating (but not rendering)

- When I click on the blocks after placing them, they disappear, and I can't seem to get them back

- The "quit game" option should probably read "main menu" instead

Looks really good though, looks like there should be the possibility of some interesting puzzles!

Also I hit a crash, but it was when I was trying to close the game (I think):

Ah, see, I knew I forgot something :)

To set blocks, use the left mouse button. To select/rotate through your blocks, use the mouse wheel. Click left with a block to replace the block below, or right click to only remove.

The thin thingy are supposed to be stairs. They catch falls and let the soldiers walk up when they come from the proper direction.
