The Week of awesome II! - The second annual unofficial gamedev competition!
Completely new to gaming dev - but would like to give it a go (and I have a spare week ahead!).
Hey!
We still haven't decided of our team name. I did however created a blog where I will post a link to download the game once finished and use it as a devblog.
http://weekofawesomeii.tumblr.com/
The URL will most likely change to the game name, once it is born.
The team will consist of:
Phil - Programmer (me) - 3 month experience in game programming ( Current title in development : http://amazingslimes.tumblr.com/ )
Will - Game Designer - few years in the industry (http://willmutch.carbonmade.com/)
Brandon - Artist/Animator - worked on a few unpublished games ( No port-folio)
It's our first time working together and we're all excited about it :)
Hey! I'm relatively new to this forum.. I follow many posts but never been an active member so I guess this is my first post. Anyway.. I'm in this year so count me in.

My friends, the time is nigh upon us. Slowly, midnight draws near, and with it the start of our journey, our quest, our contest.
I wish you well and good luck, all my fellow competitors, whether you are entered already or are yet to name yourself! ^_^

Indeed the time is nearly upon us, this will be an awesome competition to say the least. as these last few hours come along, i'd like to toss out an old journal written by Gaiiden for when he judges game jams that has some excellent information in it:

i'd recommend everyone give it a good read over if you can, it has some great tips=-)
If anyone has any last minute questions don't be afraid to post them!
Good read, certainly well wroth looking over. Thanks again and LETS FIND OUT THE THEME!
