Any sound guys here?

I was looking at the movie "Man of Steel" the other day, and I noticed that the sound effects make heavy use of what I will call the EPIC RUMBLE.

It's that deep bass rumbling sound, that sounds like the sound of "epicness." It may also sound like a massive spaceship engine.

But I just can't recall fax machines having that epic of a rumble in real life (check out the movie). The ambient sounds in high level top security agencies all have that massive spaceship engine in their restrooms too.

So, what really is the EPIC RUMBLE? Is it an alien spaceship caught on tape, or is it a car engine with a little sound editing?

I want that epic rumble in my game. haha

Then you can process the recording with a low-pass filter.

In any case, to really appreciate this kind of sound you need a home-theatre system with a sub-woofer.

Ugh, I hate that noise! So overused these days.

So we need a piece of software that has all of the sounds Ben Burtt used. Actually though, i might be able to use GarageBand to use my voice to make sound effects for now.
