i was wondering if anyone has or knows of a function to load a wave file directly into a direct sound buffer... i can''t seem to figure this out. i''m not looking for a tutorial, or sample program. i just need the code for a function. thank you in advance. -uncreativ

Do you have the DXSDK with samples? They have a function that loads the wave data into the dsound buffer. Check it out.
