Durraken, please just shut up. All you're doing is embarrassing yourself and derailing an otherwise interesting thread.
If you want to rant about inverse sexism/racism/homophobia, start your own thread about how persecuted you are. Or better yet, post it on stormfront or NOM or somewhere else where someone gives a damn, 'cos no-one here does.
On topic, I guess it depends on your role as a game developer. If you are a one man band indie doing everything yourself, I really don't see how you can not play games. It's like being a director who doesn't like films or a car designer that doesn't drive.
On the other hand, if your role has nothing to do with gameplay (e.g. you're working on the graphics engine or the network code), then it's possible to do your job without knowing or caring about games.
Personally, I work for a financial software company, but my knowledge of finance is pretty limited. That doesn't mean I can't do my job because others understand the business side of things. In my experience, this isn't an uncommon situation. As for games, these days I find I don't have the time/energy to write games after a day of coding at work, so I would say that I play games infinitely more than I write them ![:D biggrin.png](http://public.gamedev5.net//public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png)
if you think programming is like sex, you probably haven't done much of either.-------------- - capn_midnight
