Just a little video showing the workflow of a wooden crate..

sorry for my english wacko.png

Whew. Unless that crate is a main object, I couldn't do all of that work on it, especially considering I have so many other objects to create.

I'd take a cube, bake out all the maps from an image using Gimp's InsaneBump and Normal map plugins, and slap them on the cube. Bake in some ambient occlusion... done.

If I wanted to keep everything on one map, I would use the texture atlas plugin for Blender.

I have been looking for some game art videos though, and if you made some where you are talking, so people can follow you better, you could have even more views, because not many people are doing game art that way on their videos, accept if you go to BlenderCookie or something.

They call me the Tutorial Doctor.

To be honest, I consider your demo pretty cool. Displaying a complete workflow for a static model is really helpful for any rookie artist trying his hands on blender/gimp etc.

Good job biggrin.png

New video...

On my next video a gonna try make a tower defense game tutorial. smile.png
