There used to be a Saturday morning kids TV show in the UK which had a phone competition where they phoned you and you had to play Xenon live on TV by giving voice commands down the phone. Later on they revamped it and replaced Xenon with another Bitmap Brothers game called Magic Pockets.

Bitmap Brothers were great. They were definitely the Gods of 16-bit programming. :)

Lands of Lore 2

I was quite a big fan of Westwood Studios in my youth.

There's also the stuff like Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen, Duke Nukem, Quake etc.

What was the secret, they wanted to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them was prepared, truly prepared, to believe that it had not so much to do with chemicals and zippy mental tricks as with that most unprofound and sometimes heartrending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottom of his training shoes.

Hello, how do i add a youtube move to my post ?

I always loved the really old TSR Games, of which my favorite was Dungeon Hack. I have a my old 386 set up for the kids to play on, and my oldest loves it(although he still hasn't quite figured out the controls yet).

There's also the old bioware Fallout games. The new ones are some of my favorite First Person RPGs, but there's something about the old ones that I like more...

Of course, on that vein, who can forget Planescape: Torment...

My favorite error yet:

Ya, Mega Man 2 is still the best Mega Man game!!!

The games that sucked the most time out of my childhood were (sorry, don't want to round up video links):

  • Hardball! - A baseball game on Amiga 500. I played this endlessly.
  • Super Mario Bros. 3 - Think I spent at least 10 hours a week at my friend's house playing this in elementary school (my parents wouldn't buy me an NES!!!)
  • Blaster Master - This game was tough. Battletoads tough. Again, another game I would waste hours on at my friend's house.
  • Stunt Car Racer (or Stunts) - I THINK it was Stunt Car Racer, the name sounds more familiar. Either way they're both for Amiga 500. Build your tracks with crazy jumps, loop-the-loops, etc.
  • Number Munchers - Educational game I played in elementary school. Lots of fun. More fun than its counterpart word munchers.

And i also love Bomberman.

Especially with more players, on Playstation1 we had 5 player matches in my house, on gamecube also good with 4 players.

5 Players on 1 screen inspires me to make games, its better then all alone online gaming.

My engine supports up to 4 joystick players simultaneous, special thanks to bomberman.

I,m having online to, think of this 4 players in 1 internet connection against other teams.

And yes Cardinal, Hardball is also a nice Amiga game, how about Moonstone ?

Somesort of Hardball game would be nice to play with 4 players on 1 connection to, such 1 screen games are my inspiration, only because there are not much.

How about World Cup ( NES ), its great, only you cannot kill the keeper, to bad.

It's good to look back. Very inspiring also. Looking at the past and improving upon it. Reason I posted this. So, if anyone has some good flashback games, please post! I am going to look at every video and game. haha.

They call me the Tutorial Doctor.
