Hey guys

how do i get game builder for netbeans?

According to this tutorial, it is part of the NetBeans mobility pack.

Your title says Slick....which is different from game builder.

Slick has been having some issues as far as who is hosting the web site, but for now it is being hosted on NinjaCave.

haha yah i was wondering about slick

but then i remembered about the game builder

tried to find game builder on my net beans and it isnt there.... it is updated to 7.4 and i downloaded the whooole package :(

I'd go with LibGDX. It kind of replaced Slick which kind of died out once the main author quit. Slick is still maintained by the community, and it's simpler than LibGDX, but with LibGDX you will also port your games for Android and iOS (you have to pay for iOS). Also it allows more advanced things that Slick and gives access to OpenGLES 2.0.

LibGDX is nice to consider, as it also has a 3D side to it. If you ever reach the point where you wish to start learning about 3D development, you can still be right at home with a familiar library.

LibGDX also includes things like JBox2d for physics.
