I registered my nickname in 2003. Haven't posted in ages, though.
I've noticed that this forum doesn't get quite as many posts per day as it did back then. Kind of strange. You can now see threads last posted to a week ago on the first page of the Lounge.
Matured game engine makes people dispersed to various game engine websites. Most notably, Unity since it was easy and also free for commercial version (basic), which include export to android and ios. And windows 8 + mobile. The rest who plan to do it professionally would try to master UDK or CryEngine. Things have changed.
Don't forget stackoverflow.
Indeed. All of my questions go onto Stackoverflow now. It's just a better format for Q&A.
Yeah, it allows to mark questions as solved ;)

It's much easier to find relevant questions to answer. The tagging system on GDNet is simply broken. And as you said, you can't find a list of unanswered questions here.
I hardly ever post any more, but I'm still here! Been a member since I was 13 years old in 2001.
Good to see so many familiar names in this thread..
Admin for GameDev.net.
I miss MindWipe's drunken pub-crawl pics
Haha, I was going to post the same thing I still have this old gif on my hard drive - I have no idea what the context was.
I also miss Andy-Pandy. I see his awesomely weird comics popup on reddit from time to time - I sent him an email a while ago and he seems to be doing good
Those usernames...
Geez just looking at that old forum design - brings back memories.
