Programming for 3rd graders

So my college's club has been asked to host a workshop for a Girl Scout troop of 3rd graders.

I'm not really sure how to set something up for them. I could easily give them a UDK tutorial to teach the logic behind games and how a game works essentially since UDK has the kismet interface to make things simple enough. But I always feel like I'm being a bit biased since I've used the tools and see it as simple, a bit too simple.

Would Unity, UDK, or Game Maker be a possibility for a workshop for 3rd graders? Like we give them the assets, let them follow a set of directions so they make a dual stick shooter or something like that.

What would be a good possibilty for a workshop if those are too complex for 3rd graders?

Sorry if this is the wrong section. Could someone tell me where is the right section if this is wrong?

Thanks for any information and help.

Try Construct 2 (https://www.scirra.com/).

Easy to learn, offers results similar to Game Maker.
