Hello,
I'm looking for quite popular game(TBS or RTS or event FPS) with support of AI customization(API documentation should be available) . I'd like to check my experience in such field but don't want to implement full game from the beginning.
The best option if game support customization throught Python scipts or C++ plugins.
Can anybody suggest me such games?

OpenTTD has customisable AI; it's also open-source. There are several AIs included with the standard distribution and you can create your own.
I don't know exactly how it's done, maybe the AI is linked into the binary somehow and just gets sent callbacks to carry out actions or something.

I've seen competitions but Starcraft is huge and bit old game. May be there are something smaller and more modern.
