I see there's 100% promo on daz3d now.
What information will I need to provide? Only name and email or adress etc more serious data too?

You have to provide some basic personal information -- name, email address, postal address -- but it's a pretty simple process. If you're not comfortable providing those details the offer probably isn't for you, otherwise it's an amazing deal if you're interested in the software.
They had some similarly awesome deal a year or two ago where I downloaded one of their products, and the downside is probably that (assuming this one is the same as previously) they'll send you reasonably frequent marketing emails to the address you register with. That being said, it's a simple and painless process to simply un-subscribe when the first email arrives if you'd like to avoid them.
The one other thing probably worth mentioning is the slightly round-about and annoying download process for their products. Rather than simply providing a download, you have to download and install an "install manager" which will then download and install the product for you.

That, Sir, is the understatement of the century. The DAZ install manager even beats Adobe's install manager in being stupid, superfluous, and annoying.
But then again, nobody forces you to take the free offer...
Edit: I forgot to say "intrusive", as it also secretly installs an autorun service.

Keep in mind that Daz3D isn't primarily an application vendor, it's primarily a content vendor. You buy models, texture packs, morphs, etc. most of which aren't standalone, so you'll pick up three or four items in a purchase. In that situation being able to download and install them all at once from their manager makes more sense.
Usually the license says sonething like indie 500 $ for one project and Commercial companies 1-2000 $. It is sold as a content pack somewhere in there.

Not what I like as a game developer. I found Arteria3D.com, 3DRT.com and 3DModels-Textures.com(Dexsoft Games) more interesting.
It is a shame as DazStudio has some nice stuff, but the price!! and sometimes one even have to negotiated with the artist directly before one can use it(even though one bought it from the site as buying something does not gives one the right to use it in a production).
I wold say that the license is not easy to figure out at first.
