Hi everyone,

This is my first post. My name is Chema and I am working at a mobile gaming company in Madrid. At the company we are working on a Pang clone with some twists and we were wondering if it's a good idea to enable collisions between balls or not. Opinions about that?

Regards

We are currently working on a breakout-like game: Caromble!. At first we didn't have ball-ball collisions, but since shortly we've added it and we are very happy with it. It gives a 'surprise' effect to the player. It does make it a bit more difficult to play though, because it messes with your mind that was extrapolating the ball's position.

I'd say build it in, test it and see whether it makes sense in your game, given its difficulty and style.

Good luck.

Are you talking about Pang or Pong?

If Pang, ball collisions are probably a good idea.

If Pong, I would say yes as multi-ball scenarios are usually meant to be chaotic.

I am talking about Pang. I personally think ball collisions are a bad idea, but I wanted to ask for opinions, because I don't like games to be chaotic.

I think we should use a setting or something for users that like this feature.

Thank you.

Epic fail for not knowing Pang. I apologize for assuming you meant Pong:)
