the ps3 UI is very very very bad

and naughty dog produces the dullest games

ps3 is a drab experience low quality software with low performance hardware in a lovely box

and a fantastic controller with unusable triggers

LBP is the only reason to buy one

What a load of exagerated XBox fanboi drama.

"Un-usable triggers" - Woops sorry guys nobody told me so I guess I've been using them pretty well all this time.

I found it quite strange that The Last Of Us use the front buttons to aim and shoot instead of the triggers, but I guess that's pretty common on the PS3? Could have something to do with the poor design of the triggers. The main problem is they slope down instead of up to catch a finger. This promotes slippage.

There are 3rd party products to fix this issue.

The main problem I have with the interface is how unpolished it feels. Most of that comes from the rough (jittery) transitions and noticeable delay when taking any action in the menu.

You don't really have to play the first two Uncharted games to dive in to the third, but I think they're actually better. Uncharted 3 is great, but a lot of the time it feels like there are simply small bubbles of gameplay to drive the next in-engine cinematic sequence.

That's what I'm dealing with now on the first Uncharted. Climb a wall, kill a dozen people, cut scene. Rince and repeat. Not sure I'll finish this one.
