Man, I forgot just how bad this system is. 3' charging cable with the controller, and it's 2013 and still doesn't come with an HDMI cable? Waiting through updates now, hopefully they improved the user interface because it's pretty terrible right now. To top it all off, The Last of Us is sold out pretty much everywhere which is the entire reason I purchased the console in the first place! Guess I'll be able to try out the digital download version at least, which supposedly supports playing before the game is fully downloaded.

So any other PS3 exclusives I should be checking out since I've got the console now? I picked up Uncharted 3, Infamous 2 and Little Big Planet 2 for $10 each used. Should I play the first two Uncharted games before I dive into the 3rd?

I am trying to give them money, and they keep saying my credit card number is incorrect, when it is clearly typed in correctly. There are a ton of threads about the credit card issue, so it's definitely not an isolated incident. And now I have a backache from sitting on the floor 2' in front of my TV due to this stupid controller cable. There is a good reason to be an Xbox fan, this console and the PSNetwork are garbage. This game better live up to the hype...

Doesn't come charged, and doesn't have replaceable batteries. I was tethered there for a while.

Number 2 would be my pick of the bunch, and 1 is still a hell of a lot of fun.

PSN games are available for as long as you keep paying your PSN+ account fees :)

Holy crap the PSN is slow. Over 6 hours to download 18GB game, even though I have a 50Mb/s pipe. What happens once it's done? Now it's "Installing". I've been here for 20 minutes now and it's at 11%! Overall everything on this console feels slow. It takes close to 30 seconds for the store to open, and the menu transitions are all incredibly laggy.

On a more positive note: The Last Of Us is a pretty good game. Certainly not the 10 stars that some reviewers claim, but worth playing. There were some very good scenes in there and the dialog was fantastic. The part that dragged it down was the game play. It's a platforming stealthy shooter and it does none of those particularly well. I also hated the "puzzles" of which there were three variety that were all solved exactly the same way. How many times am I supposed to swim and find a pallet for Ellie to cling to so I can get her across deep water before it gets old? The answer is one. After one trip on a pallet, it's not worth doing again. Same with boosting her up so she can push the ladder down which just so happens to be hanging there. Or lifting her through a hole in a wall so she can unjam the door from the other side. Each of these scenarios played out over and over and over. Very formulaic. Also, what the hell are up with the shivs and melee weapons? Are you seriously telling me all of these firearms are in working order, but we can't get a metal blade, or a baseball bat or a metal pipe that won't break after hitting a soft squishy human 3-5 times? So yes... lots of flaws, but still highly recommended.
