Hey, I''m taking the SAT IIs in December (the physics, math level 2C and writing tests). Anyway, I''m not too worried about math or writing, but the physics test is gonna be covering some stuff that I won''t have gotten to by that point in my AP class (in fact, it''ll have covered less than half of it). I don''t know, I took the chemistry test even though they asked stuff I hadn''t learned, and I still got a 700. I thought the chemist and math2c (I got a 790 even though I left 2 blank) were jokes, far easier than the SAT; although I got a 490 on the writing...

I took the physics SAT II halfway through a _normal_ physics class, not even AP, and got a 700 on it. I got a little scared when it asked me if I had taken 2 or 3 semesters of physics before the test, and I''d taken half of one... But it ended up being a cakewalk.

BTW - my SAT score was 1400, but there were 5 1600s in my class. On the one hand, there was a lot of pressure to retake it - on the other hand, 1400 was plenty to get me where I wanted to go - what I''m trying to say is your max "retake score" should probably be based on some research of what you actually need the score _for,_ not just what seems to be the popular number. After you get into college, it turns out SATs mean crap.

Well, that''s a relief. I''ll still look over the other stuff we haven''t gotten to yet, but I''m glad it won''t be too hard

If you go non-ivy in-state SAT''s may be crap even before that.
All the schools I applied too wanted the ACT score (except MIT which wanted your life story)
