Hello,

Guys i have problem with computer connecting onto the internet.

I took it intro frends house, when we unplug his computer and connect my i cant access google with any internet browser.

I have also tryed to open "cmd" and write "ping google.com" it sends 4 packers and loses 25% or 50% each time.

I have also tryed to "ping 192.168.1.1" its same result 25% or 50% of packets lost.\

4packets send 2 lost

I have tryied at local connection properties "Internet protocol tcp/ip" to manualy input data.

I have called operator from my network and they gave me data.

Then i tried to ping google and my rooter, 25% to 50% lose of packets.

I also tried all this stuff after i bought a new

Again the connection to google.com with internet browser was not established.

ping command from "cmd" with automatic ip & dns server was bad and with manual inputed was bad.

I connect frends hardDrive to my computer and same problems.

I connect the cable to "His" my frends computer where it worked, and as expected it works flawslessly.

Do you have any idea? PLEASE HELP.

It looks like you messed up something on your system. I suppose you are using Windows, have you tried the diagnostic tool? Does it say anything? Have you tried reinstalling? Have you tried using a linux live-cd to check if it's not a hardware issue?

Not being able to access Google means you have a virus. Download some virus trackers (if the virus lets you), track it down, and get rid of it. If the virus doesn't let you download those tools, another thing you can do is download the tools on your friend's computer, then transfer the tools to your computer.

The modem is probably keyed to his computers mac address. Althoigh why you are getting even 25% success might indicate it's actually something else.

I'd recommend unplugging the modem for 30 seconds.

Also, use ipconfig to check that you have a valid ip address. Also check that you can get access to the router, and it's giving you a valid ip address.

As TomSloper said, if you can't access specific websites, or if you keep getting redirected to different websites, you probably have a virus.

Use Spybot Search and Destroy, and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Both are free. Both work excellently and are often better than many commercial options.

Download the installers and put them on a thumbdrive using the computer that works, then install them from the thumbdrive on the computer that doesn't work.

Also let Windows automatically try to fix the problem if it's not a virus. (Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar, and choose "Troubleshoot Problems")

I would like to thank you all for great responses.

I did most of sugested, it didnt fix.

What fixed the error was getting a completely different cable for network connection, i had not a slightest idea why i required a different cable then i use at home or that he uses but...

Its exzactly same but the vires on the one that works go differently:

(white wire with brown line) (Brown wire) (white wirewith green line) (Green wire) (white wire with orange line) (orange wire) (white with i dont remember color) (i dont remember color)

And the usual jack that works when i am/was home has it:
(brown) (White with brown line) (green) (white, green line) (orange) (white, orange line) (...) (white, ...)

I am most gratefull on your help!
