As the title says,my ati driver crashes every day.A couple of months ago I was able to play 40-50 gb movies(1080p with a bit bitrate) using gpu acceleration, there was no problem.

Now,when I try to play an 8 gb 1080p video, after 5-6 mins the pc shuts down.Sometimes, that happens with 720p videos too,but very rarely.

I tried 4-5 players, but none of them seems to work for me.I have an ati hd6350.

Has anybody ever had this problem? I changed the driver a couple of times, but it kept crashing.

If you trip the thermal limit, the machine will just likely shut off instantly before the part is damaged. It's also not unusual for the driver to crash if the hardware is extremely hot.

When my GTX 260's fan died, I was pushing nearly 110c with even the most minor activity. The driver would crash continually and if it kept climbing, poof, computer would just turn off. The metal backing was actually so hot that I probably could of burned myself on it. Check your temperatures!

BTW, how are AMD drivers right now? I keep hearing bad things about them.

Previously "Krohm"

amd drivers? I started hating amd.I had big problems with drivers a while back.I was installing a driver for my gpu, then windows would change it to install another driver because it thought that I had a different gpu.

When i'll buy something,I'll go for nvidia + intel.

right now my temp is 68 degrees C and it's pretty warm in my room,i'm gonna monitor the temps, but I don't think all that was because the gpu overheated.
