Noticed a few people mentioning what they use to compose, was just wondering what everyone's full set of hard/software is? I personally use:
Software:
Spectrasonics Omnisphere
Spectrasonics Stylus RMX
Sibelius 6
Cockos Reaper

Hardware:
Korg Triton LE
Yamaha SY22
Big ole' computer with 16GB RAM
Apple iPad (Specifically Samplewiz, Animoog and Geosynthesizer)

Instruments:
Alto Sax
Tenor Sax
Piano
(far too extensive for my room!) Drum kit

So as you can see I'm lacking in the softsynth area, particularly in terms of making any brass sounds tongue.png Don't knock the iPad either, the stuff it can do is fantastic! The keyboards don't get used so much, but I have them because I play in prog/jazz outfits anyway. Would be interesting to hear what you guys all use

Hey,

Here's my current set up:

Software:

Logic Pro 9 (my main DAW for music and sound design as well as mixing)
Pro Tools 10 (mainly for heavy audio editing like VO/etc)
Reason 6 (mainly for electronic-based music and rewired into Logic sessions)
Virtual instruments from Cakewalk, Chris Hein, 8Dio, Native Instruments, Sample Modeling, East West, Spitfire, Cinesamples, Vir2 Instruments, loads of refills for Reason
Audio plugins from Waves, Bias and Crysonic

Hardware:

Mac Pro 8 core, 32 gigs of RAM
Roland Fantom X8
MOTU 896mk3
JBL S38EB monitors

And while there's always good reason to upgrade and expand your toolset remember that they're just tools. What you do with them is what makes the difference between good and bad audio.
