Hi,

I was wondering if there are rules/laws about putting data in games when it comes to license plate numbers, addresses and phone numbers.

For example I know that in America there is a special 555 range they use in movies (and games?). Is there something similar for license plates for games in cars or addresses?

Kind regards

Addresses I am not aware of any guide...probably because they tend to be far more unique in some senses. However the below link does have some relevance with regard using actual addresses.

At the end of the day -- My recommendation is make up everything and where you can't consult a lawyer over your right to use the information.

Hope this helps :)

Hey thanks, I did not know that about the plates.

That document has some good info in it too.

Guess you just always have to make sure with things like those that they don't actually exist or you use specially reserved ranges...
